GBL 016: Jumping Off the Corporate Ladder to Online Entrepreneur and Author – An Interview with Farnoosh Brock

Get Busy Living Podcast 16

Would you walk away from a fancy job title and a six figure a year salary? It’d be hard to, but in today’s episode I talk to Farnoosh Brock who did just that.

It’s not easy to walk away especially when you decided to start an online business. It’s even harder when friends and family tell you that you’re crazy to do that. Despite that Farnoosh has succeeded and is now a speaker, coach, and writer of two books.

Topics we cover:

  • Climbing the corporate ladder
  • Defining herself through success
  • When she was the most miserable
  • What triggered her to think about leaving her job
  • What’s the one thing she wants you to take away from the interview
  • The drive that made her decide to finally resign
  • What difficulties she faced in her first year after going all-in
  • Ways that we can change the way we think that can help us
  • How asking “so what” can make you worry less
  • What made her husband leave his own six figure job
  • How she got her first traditional publishing deal
  • Myths about juicing
  • Difference between juicing and smoothies

  1. Thank you so much for having me on your fabulous podcast @bhsu21:disqus and I am delighted for you and your daily smoothie.

  2. Great podcast! I always find it fascinating to learn from people’s experiences leaving those high income jobs. There are so many paths people choose in life. I love to hear why one wins out over the other!

  3. Wonderful interview Benny!! Inspirational! I honestly never had a sense for your intelligence until I listened to the questions you asked here. Really well done!

Benny I am glad to find you, I have wrote to you before as well, it was my laziness, that I haven’t replied to you back.

But I am also on the same stage of life, from where you started. I am struggling to find, what to do and where to start. I am in dilemma at the moment.

I hope from your podcast and blog, and the great friends / network partners you have, I will find my answer one day.

  5. Wonderful post
I think its an extraordinary asset for every one of us to gain from these glorious bloggers in light of the fact that one of them is SO significant. Be that as it may, I think I can best identify with what Ana specified about giving more since the more you give, the more you get, and regardless of the fact that you don’t, I think its the expectation and thought behind imparting other’s content and bailing them out, which matters most.
Thank you for sharing such resourceful article.

  6. Benny,
Sure do love me some Farnoosh! She is awesome as always! Great stuff, may man!
