GBL064: The Upside to Getting Out of Your Comfort Zone

When it comes to doing something out of our comfort zone, all these crazy scenarios play in our mind. It’s so frightening to think about it. One reason is the fear of the unknown. We try to predict in our mind what will happen because if we know we’ll feel more comfortable. However, it’s nearly impossible to know.

When we do try to predict, we imagine the worst case scenarios.

Then we decide to stay where we are at now, even though we’re miserable and unfulfilled. But hey at least, we’re keeping ourself safe from the unknown.

In today’s episode, I answer an email from a reader who currently is working two unfulfilling part-time jobs, but dreams to be an actress. What holds her back is fear of the unknown, failure, and making less money than she is now.

You might be in a similar situation. If so, I hope this episode will give you a much needed wake up call.
