I know we all look for that one piece of advice that changes everything for us. We read so many quotes, articles, and books but nothing ever makes a difference.
When I look back at how I was able to change my life, one piece of advice helped tremendously. I am confident if I didn’t follow it, I would be stuck in my old life.
Here is what else I cover in this episode:
- My failed online business attempts
- Why I created a website about Twilight the movie (not my best moment)
- What JK Rowling said about hitting rock bottom and how it helped her
- What specific changes helped me get better results
- The Compound Effect by Darren Hardy
- Why you should go on a media diet
- How a morning routine setup
- The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod
- Get Busy Living in 30Â – teaching you the core fundamentals to success

Great podcast;
This is just the type of talk I need to hear right
now. I’m working on changing some habits so that my future won’t look
like my last 5 years! I’ll listen to this a few times.
Thank you so much Benny.
Thanks Rain! Definitely have an open mind and be open to trying something different. You’ve got to if you don’t want the results you’ve gotten so far. Thanks for listening!
Really great podcast this morning man. I was listening to it while I was going over my morning ritual. Good information.
Hey Justice! Great to hear from you. Hope all is well w/ you. Thanks so much for listening! Means a lot. 🙂
Really good stuff this morning. The thing you were talking about is the definition of insanity. Doing more of whats already not working and expecting different results. I think some many people have the problem you talk about and that sthe failure to have a plan. I have often said ask ten people around you if they have a plan and on average there will be one. Just like Dareen Hardy points out in the compound effect,it ‘s the little things done consistantly that will form your positive habit. The same holds true for the negative habit. It doesn’t happen over night. I’m a firm believer in starting my day the night before so I can think about ideas over night.
Love the media diet you talked about. I had a period of time while working as a medic where I had more than my fair share of bad calls. I had to surround myself with the positive tapes, books and good music to get out of the funk. Looking forward to the next podcast.
P.S. You working on any big trips like the one you took last year. That was so cool.
Thanks for your comment Paul. A lot of people have no plan nor do they try and do something different. They’re not open to trying something different, but they keep expecting different results. I can only imagine being a medic really takes a toll on you mentally. Speaking of big trips actually today I was suppose to go to London with my wife. Nervous because of the winter storm up the east coast but our flights were not cancelled when we got to the airport. We just hoped we could fly. Delayed 3 hours and eventually cancelled. So we couldn’t make it to Newark to catch our flight to London. Going to try again Saturday and it should all go better hopefully.
Awesome podcast Benny! Thank you for the inspiration. I went to school to do broadcast journalism, but the negative spin of the news drove me crazy! Now I am trying to bring a more positive message into the media with my education and background 🙂 I’m having a blast! Thanks for your knowledge and the positive message!!!!
Hey Theresa! Thank you so much for listening! I always wonder how the people who produce or report the news do it on a daily basis. It just seems searching for bad news all day everyday has an effect. Great to hear you’re bringing a more positive message!
Hello
What now unemployed 15 months.. Seeking some form of work.. Gotten very depressed… but know there is more to me than just that..
I don’t know what to say, but keep on trying. Ask people you know if anyone is hiring. Make sure when you’re applying for jobs to look nice and smile. You might have to take a smaller job just to get back on your feet.
Loved it, thanks for sharing it 🙂
My pleasure Juan! Thanks for listening.
