It feels really nice to set a goal and work on it a little bit every day and then see the final product ready to be released.
I’m so happy to finally be able to say that my first ever ebook is now available! The last time I wrote a book was probably in elementary school but it mainly had pictures in it.
This is a book I’ve been wanting to write since I started my blog. It’s a message I wanted to share with you because understanding these principles helped kicked me in the butt to do something about my life.
If you’re a regular reader, you may have noticed it in my sidebar beginning last week. No announcements, fireworks or parade, and yet many of you signed up and downloaded the ebook. Thank you so much!
Today I wanted to do a formal introduction of what I spent countless hours working on just for you.
The title of the guide is “Get a Life that Doesn’t Suck: Taking the First Step in Building a Life of Excitement”. It’s a mouthful but the ebook gets to the point in 29 pages.
Who is this for?
Anyone who is struggling with their life, wondering why life isn’t going as planned, or constantly hoping for things to change but seeing no results.
If you’re looking for a new direction in life, this book builds a foundation for the rest of your new life.
It also gives you a wake up call if you’ve been sleepwalking through life. It does it by helping you realize some very important principles to live by.
Also everyone living their ideal life absolutely 100% lives by the main message in this ebook.
What problem does this book solve?
What this book helps you with is changing your mindset and attitude. It helps you become aware that life can be better than it is now.
This book will help you take that first step.
This guide isn’t the answer to all your question. You won’t wake up instantly tomorrow with the life of your dreams.
Instead, it makes you aware that you have the power to choose life the way you want.
What will you find inside this guide?
- If nothing else, the most important sentence I’ve learned
- Why 99.5% of this one principle isn’t enough
- Why outcomes are controlled by us
- Why we avoid making decisions
- Why we complain
- And more…
Here are a couple testimonials…
“Get a Life That Doesn’t Suck” provided great strategies that helped me reflect on what is happening in my life, whether it is positive or negative. It put a lot in perspective for me with a formula to use when faced with a difficult situation. You must read this if you are someone who is looking for that first step in changing your life or even certain habits you have obtained throughout the years. Thanks, Benny!

“I thought Benny’s book was great. There is no way to become the person or success you imagine if you don’t accept full responsibility for your life. Blaming others doesn’t change your circumstance or empower you to change them. Understanding that only you have the power to make the decisions that empower an exciting and fulfilling life, or make bad decisions that make for a miserable life is truly in your hands and no one else’s this is the key to change and creating the life you desire.
If taken to heart, the words in this book can change your life”

“Because of this book I’ve recently spoken to someone I haven’t talked to in months. I wasn’t speaking to this person, partly because of them and partly because, well, it was just easier for me to avoid the issue. It was hard to admit that I might be partly responsible. Benny has a line at the start of his book where he says “if there is one sentence you remember, make it this…” Well, that is the one line I did remember. I’m a big believer in the notion that if you get one good idea from a book, then it’s worth reading. I know the one idea I took from this book. What will yours be?”

Finally thanks to Pat at Smart Passive Income who helped made my 3D cover for free to complete a reader challenege. Awesome guy!
Thanks again for your continued support here and the amazing birthday wishes! You all are the best.
Congrats Benny,
I bet that felt really good to complete this project. I signed up and will give a read when I get a chance.
Keep up the good work my man!
Thanks Brad! It really is. I really enjoyed the process of creating it though. Makes me want to look for my next project. You keep hustling as well!
I’m so excited for you Benny, congratulations. I knew you had a new addition over there and figured something was coming to let us know exactly what it was all about and what inspired you. I’m really looking forward to reading it. I have no doubt I will learn something from this as well because it is your own experience.
Great job my friend. Will let you know what I think.
Adrienne
Hey Adrienne!
Thank you for your support as always. The process of writing it was difficult to start but once I got going, I really enjoyed it. I just hope to spread the message of the book as far as it will go and help people. It’s a start and hope to build my message even bigger from this little ebook.
Thank you Adrienne!
Good luck with your ebook, Benny! I really enjoyed your book and I know many others will, too.
Your post made me laugh because it reminded me of the last “book” I wrote and illustrated when I was 8 years old. The story was about a yellow VW Bug that was allergic to gasoline. Don’t worry, the story had a happy ending, the VW Bug ran on solar power.
I look forward to the day I publish my first ebook. I will have to credit you, Benny, because the idea I’m working on now is an idea I got from you. Thanks for inspiring me!
Thank you Chrysta! Your last book sounds great. Quite an imagination you had when you were younger. LOL. I’m glad to hear the story had a happy ending. Wouldn’t want the VW Bug to not have power to run!
If you’re like me, you’ll love the process of creating an ebook. Though this was a short one, I enjoyed it immensely. The best part is to hear feedback about how it’s helped and inspire people. I certainly look forward to writing a longer one. Just have to finalize a topic before I put my time and creativity into it.
Look forward to hearing more about your idea you got from me and what kind of ebook you come up with! That will be exciting to say the least!
Good luck with the first eBook, Benny.
Keep hustling, my friend.
C
Thank you Chris! I’m working my way up so I can hire one of your VA’s to help make my life easier. 🙂
I’m excited for you. When I get home, I’m downloading it and reading. 🙂 Congrats!
Thank you Richard! Please let me know what you think of it and if I can help you in anyway after reading it.
Beautifully done, Benny!
Yes, I actually ordered it and sat down and read it straight away (I do a lot of editing and reviewing of e-books on my site, it’s just something I love to do). I am truly impressed – it’s to the point and very powerful as well as truthful.
Just the knowledge of your main point will be life changing for those who see it for what it is and endeavor to implement it. It is tough, I agree!
Thank you Julie! I’m excited to hear feedback about it. Yes the main point is so crucial but it’s not easy to change. It takes commitment and awareness to implement living by the main point.
I really appreciate what you said about the book and taking the time to share that with me.
Thank you Julie!
Congratulations on completing your first ebook. And it’s on a topic I’m passionate about too. I can’t wait to read it. I’ve been meaning to write an ebook for awhile too, but I haven’t had the time. Maybe I should just do it in small bits every day like you did.
Thank you Steve! I hope you find something that resonates with you in the book. You should write an ebook. I know you have a wealth of knowledge and experience you could share to your readers. Just take it one page at a time if you need to or 500 words a day. Little by little. Thanks for your comment Steve!
Congrats Benny – it’s a great feeling to “get it done” I bet. Now that you’ve completed it I’m sure you are wondering why you never started it sooner.
Thanks Bruce! Yes you’re right. Looking ready to start another ebook. 🙂
Looks great, Benny! I’m in the first baby steps of putting together an ebook of my own and can’t wait to check this one out to see how you’ve done it. Congrats on checking off another box on your blogger journey! Looking forward to reading it!
Hey Cordelia! Thank you so much! Look forward to what you create. Let me know if you have any questions about it!
Yes another milestone on this journey. Now on to the next goal…
Thanks for your help along the way!
Benny,
Good work, my friend! I just read the book and I love your honesty and the “real” factor you have. It’s quite inspiring as well..
I hope it finds its way into the hands of many, many people!
Hey Steve! Thanks for reading and letting me know what you thought. I certainly do hope it spreads like a virus. I have a life coach and blogger, Tim Brownson, sending it out to his newsletter sometime in the future to his list of 3,000+ so that’s a good start. 🙂
Thanks for your support!
Benny! I hope this goes well because you’re truly one of the nicest bloggers I have encountered in my life, thus far.
Karma always comes around!! I believe in you as you have believed in all of us!
Hey Jonathan!
I appreciate that. I just really like helping people. Whether it’s inspiring them through this ebook or building a better blog. It’s fun for me!
Thank you for being a supporter here!!
I just re-tweeted Buddy. I hope you get the success you deserve! Cheers bro!
Thanks Jonathan! I saw the RT. Really appreciate that bro!!
“If you don’t like the outcome, change your response.”
I wholeheartedly, completely agree with that. I used to let the smallest things throw off my day. If someone cut me off or if I got a stain on my favorite shirt, I wouldn’t be able to let that go. My mood and my happiness was completely in control of outside factors and NOT in control by me.
That’s changed over the past few years and I am SO grateful. Like you, I relish in taking full, 100% responsibility for my life. And it’s been a beautiful thing. No matter what life throws at me, I know that it’s up to me to figure out what to do with it. I’ve started taking control of my life again and I could never go back to what it was like before.
What’s weird for me now though is looking around me and seeing how many people DON’T see the world this way. Hearing people bitch and moan about everything in life. Always finding a way to see the negative. Man, it really surprises me how many people are letting outside circumstances control their life.
I think all of them should read your ebook and learn a thing or two. Thanks for writing this – in the hope that it can help more people start taking ownership of their lives. Keep it up Benny, fight the good fight!
Thanks for the awesome comment Jaemin! I agree with every single thing you said. I see those same people too. One that comes to mind is people complaining about their weight!! How they can’t lose weight or are too fat. First they are constantly focused on being overweight, so their mind will say “Ok..you wanna be overweight? Sure!”. Secondly, they’re too lazy to try. They try for maybe a week, only lose 1 pound and give up.
You have a great attitude and I definitely feel like you are the type of person people want to be around cause of your attitude!
I do hope this ebook gets into more hands. I’ve gotta spread the word. Thank you for sharing it!
Love your work. Can’t wait to read it. Congrats to you on completing your project. It already looks like it’s a hit. Continued success!
Hey Buck! I’m so sorry i don’t know how I missed your comment! Just now saw it. Thanks for the congrats!
Hey Benny,
Props to you for getting this completed. I can’t wait to read it. The Testimonials were excellent.
Thanks for making this available to us man.
I’m inspired already. Your accomplishment is sure to motivate others, such as myself, to carry forward goals sitting in our queue.
Have a good weekend!
JK! I’m so sorry this is so late. I came back to this post and realized I miss a couple comments in the thread!
I’ve been blown away by the response I’ve gotten about the book. I made one woman stay up for two nights and two others I made cry. Powerful stuff!
I appreciate your support since day 1!
Congrats on this Benny! I will spread this word for you…
Surfs up,
p.s. It is SO important to live EVERY day in the moment… Thanks for helping others see the same!
Thanks Sal! I appreciate you spreading the word. The world would be a much better place if more people had an outlook on life like you!
Awesome stuff Benny.
Looking forward to reading it.
Thanks Jack! I hope you enjoy it and get something out of it.
Benny: Congrats! This looks fantastic, and the summary and the ‘what’s in it for you’ is great and motivating. Having just finished my own eBook this weekend (are we living in parallel worlds maybe?) I know how much work went into this. Congratulations, I’m sure this is going to be a huge success for you.
Kathy
Thank you Kathy! I wanted to give people and idea what’s in it for them if they read it. I did spend a lot of time because I wanted it to be an outstanding product. Honestly, if you give away your free stuff and it’s amazing, when you release a paid product, people will know the quality will be top notch.
It sounds like we are living in parallel worlds. First we both want to install WordPress locally and now releasing ebooks around the same time? What will be next? 🙂
Thanks for sharing the ebook with your followers!
Because we were both wanting to change our themes! And, didn’t we almost do back to back guest posts on Ending the Grind? At the very least I think that is where I was first introduced to you. I think maybe you’re my brothah from another mothah.
Yes, a quality free product is crucial. Yours definitely is.
Yes I remember your guest post at ETG! That’s where I first met you. How could I forget the chocolate covered potato chips you talked about?
Our posts were a week apart. I just had to look to remember. Mine was first and then yours. Glad we crossed paths!
This is awesome Benny!
Congrats on the ebook.
I’m also currently writing an Ebook. It’s always great to get inspiration from people you actually admire.
I will definitely be trying to see what you did good in your ebook and learn from that. So I can make my ebook as good as possible.
Hey Allan! How have you been doing? That’s great you’re writing an ebook as well. It will be very rewarding. You want to make your free ebook as if you were selling it. You want to make it as best as you can. If you need more help with it or any questions about it, contact me and I can share what I’ve learned. If you need someone to read it for spelling and grammar mistakes, I have a friend who did mine (you’ll see her at the end of my ebook) who can help for free.
That’s so exciting Benny!! Congrats on publishing it, especially since it’s your first. Impressive! -Sydney 🙂
Thanks Sydney! At first, thinking about even writing a small ebook seemed daunting. Now that I did it, I’m really glad I did. Very rewarding. Thanks for the RT Sydney!
It’s great to see great work out there in the market place! I totally agree with your statement above in the comments that you should treat your ebook as though you were going to sell it!
It’s a fantastic way to show people your expertise and give them an insight into how you might be able to help them with their problems.
Kind regards, Dan
Hey Dan. Your first comment here. Thanks!
Making your free product as good or even better than your paid product is so important. If I downloaded a free ebook and it looked cheap and the content was quickly thrown together, I would have to think really hard before paying for one of their products. But if it’s quality work then I know this is the type of quality I’ll be getting with my money.
You seem to definitely understand that. Others, unfortunately, do not.
Thanks for coming by and your comment Dan!
Hey Benny,
Just wanted to say I really enjoyed reading your first ebook! It was very interesting and it connected with me in many different ways. I liked the part about complainers and how they’re a bad influence to be around.
I love the title of the ebook too. It’s so catchy!
-Eugene
Hey Eugene!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! Thanks! Saw what you’re doing over there on your blog Distractions are a huge problem if we’re not aware of what’s distracting us! Your blog is looking great so far. Keep up the good work and keep improving every day. Let me know if I could help.
Thanks for coming by and leaving a comment!
I haven’t read the e-book and just heard about your blog today, but I must say one thing. Only by the end of the article did I realize that the e-book was where we could find the one sentence that changed your life. Before that point, I thought the sentence was “Who is this for?” (the first heading). LOL. Which is a mighty powerful question in and of itself. It’s something that I will think about as I navigate this life. Thanks for the (unintentional) insight. The intentional words of wisdom are good too 🙂
Nice one Benny. Although i have not read the ebook since i dowloaded it last Saturday becuase since i read the article How Bad Do You Want It everything has change for me. I don’t spend my time online with stuffs that will help my goal but with all this comments above i think is going to be helpful and i promise you to read it today or latest by tomorrow before i come back for my questions and comments. I love to see people progressing and moving forward like this. Well Done Benny.
David
Thanks so much David! I’m glad to hear this post has helped changed everything for you. Read the ebook when you can. It’ll be there anytime for you. Thanks for your comment David!
